Can we take the streets? Because there’s a horrible crash. Standing on the highway, a girl and her dad. You say “Yeah, it’s far too much for me, far too fast of scenery,” but your voice and your lips are moving words that I cannot breach the noise. Just remember always move fast.
We know you, we own you. Go home and leave me at the door or we can stay outside of your house and just wait for the morning.
I have no words to describe how beautiful this song is. There’s something about it that just moves me, more than most songs do. “Always move fast” because you can never stay in the present, you have to move on, and in order to escape, you have to move fast, you can’t dwell on anything.
I feel like the main message of this song is “Things change. And friends leave. Life doesn’t stop for anybody.” (Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower)
In this song, the girl switches places with the guy at the end, so he is struggling with life, but the girl leaves him, because she can no longer help him. (At least that’s my interpretation of it). Also, this song just has perfect lyrics, and it’s so raw and real.
I heard you can’t stay too long the morning’s got you worried, because the sun holds a sea of troubles and an early drive away.So, I guess I’ll just stay for a while I guess you knew just from how I smiled, because there’s no hurry more like fucking nursery or a beautiful trail.
